What We Do

Founded in 2021, Federal Solutions Group (“FSG”) provides comprehensive real estate and building services to the Federal Government, military, government contractors, commercial real estate, public and private universities and schools, medical facilities, and more.

FSG, a SAM.gov registered business, is comprised of a group of well-established subsidiary and partner companies working closely together. We proudly service over 100 million square feet of real estate.

Representative clients within our portfolio companies include the GSA, US Marshalls, Northrop Grumman, Vornado Realty Trust, JBG SMITH, University of Virginia, The Plaza Hotel, and the 4.2M square foot Merchandise Mart.

MEET OUR TEAM

Mike Doherty

President & CEO

Michael Doherty, President, brings over 35 years of experience in the building service industry. Since 1998, he has run all operations for our sister company, BMS, and is currently responsible for janitorial, security, architectural restoration, and window cleaning services managing more than 2,800 employees.

Mr. Doherty earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from The City College of New York.

Christopher Verrall

Assistant Vice President of Operations

Christopher Verrall, Assistant Vice President, Operations, and a founding FSG Executive, oversees the strategic direction of the company, including developing tactical partnerships, exploring new lines of business, streamlining operations, and liaising with Federal Government and Military. Prior to the launch of FSG, Christopher held various roles within the FSG family of companies, including work for its parent company, Vornado Realty Trust, and subsidiary GMSC Security.

Christopher brings over sixteen years of military experience as a Specialist Recon Soldier for the British Army. In 2013 Christopher transitioned into the private sector, overseeing production of armored military vehicles in Dubai, UAE. He was recruited by the United Nations in 2015 as a technical expert in armored vehicles and fleet services, overseeing projects in war torn regions around the globe. In this role, Christopher designed, wrote, and managed procurement processes and maintenance service implementations in regions across West Africa.

Christopher holds multiple combat medals. He holds several Engineering and IT qualifications, including Level 2 and 3 National Vocation Qualifications, Engineering and Marine Training Authority, and United Nations (UN) certifications.

Christopher is a member of Crisis, a charity focused on ending homelessness in the UK, and is involved in several charitable veteran organizations. In his spare time, Christopher is a professional motorcycle racer with MotoAmerica.

Penny Willimann

Vice President, Marketing

Penny Willimann is responsible for strategic and brand marketing for FSG and its sister companies across all regions. Previously, Penny spent more than a decade in the commercial real estate services arena, including business and strategic development, sales and marketing, and operations. She has designed and launched new marketing initiatives for organizations of all sizes in a variety of industries. She received her Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and her MBA from George Washington University.

Stuart Taylor

Consultant

Stuart Taylor, CEO of Stucan Solutions Corporation, is FSG's strategic business development partner to support FSG's growth and development within the Federal Government and Military sectors across the country. Mr. Taylor established Stucan Solutions in 2011 after retiring from the U.K Military where he was a Senior Warrant Officer for 25 years with the British Army and Commando Forces. He is instrumental in facilitating our successful navigation of the federal and military landscape.
